Melissa Wiggins,South GA girl new to Southern Gospel Music,has just finished her first project.
"My God is God" with hopes of begining another project this fall. Although some of her songs are not the "traditional", she wanted to add a little versatility, attempting to capture a wider audience. This small push of the envelope not being her main purpose. It is the message of hope, through Jesus Christ our Savior, she wants portrayed to all who listen. A message that many other Gospel Music Artists have blessed her with over the years. A ministry, a calling she respects and hopes in some way to contribute.
Missi says "Gospel Music! Although life has a way of leading us down winding paths we don't understand; I was no less than surprised when God stopped me in the midst of my wandering. He revealed a greater path, a whole new direction for my life. His plan. I've always loved to sing and listen to good music of all types. I don't just hear the music, I feel it. I would be the only person given a ticket breaking some noise ordinance with "Because He Lives!" I've always loved to write. Sometimes there is an easier flow from the heart to the pen than any verbal expression. The peaceful time allowed for thought and reflection, can outweigh a thousand spoken words. I could never put the two togather, music and writing, until God showed me this new and exciting course. I now run in Faith, trying not to slow down in amazement as He works in my life. I don't know what waits at every twist and turn of this journey. I do know, with my eyes now on Jesus, I don't have to wander any more. He will keep me and prepare the perfect way. His way."
